PHNOM PENH: The ABC brand has introduced its exclusive new brew, ABC Reserve, a fine whisky infused beer. ABC held its unveiling ceremony for its new ‘Reserve’ product on Friday, 15 July, at one of Phnom Penh’s most high-end bars, Bar Menaka, located on Diamond Island.
ABC is most well-known for its ‘Extra Stout’ beer, however, with ‘Reserve,’ the brand says it invites consumers to experience a new blend for “those who seek more out of life” and for those who are “eager to explore new taste experiences.”
“With ABC Reserve, we are aiming for those higher energy occasions, where the new generations are looking for a little more magic,” said Loic De Laubriere, Marketing Director of HEINEKEN Cambodia. “It is quite different and bold, but ABC has always been about leading the way. We are excited to see our consumers awakening their senses and living extraordinary nights out with ABC Reserve.”
ABC Reserve, just like its Extra Stout, is crafted by a world-class master brewer exclusive to Cambodia, using the highest quality ingredients including premium barley malt and a hint of whisky. The new product is described to have “a luxurious amber color, a smoky aroma and a full-flavored spicy taste,” and is bottled in a new sleek design featuring its signature copper color.
“Crafting the right recipe for ABC Reserve was a journey,” said Susanne Bose, Master Brewer of HEINEKEN Cambodia. “What makes this brew so unique is how we crafted this based on consumer feedback to create just the right balance. Consumers can expect a full-bodied beer that is smooth and finishes with a mild warming sensation, something similar but not quite as intense, to the experience of drinking whisky.”
The night of ABC Reserve's reveal on Friday, 15 July, was done in collaboration with Bar Menaka and saw a curation of entertainers that brought together unexpected mixes of music and performances.
Models with rose gold-painted skin and clothing walked out with artfully presented trays of the new ‘Reserve’ brew for specially invited VIP guests to taste for the first time, followed by a mesmerizing aerial dance performance. Local artists Ouk Sokunkanha and DJ Maily got the energy in the room climbing, until the night culminated with an exclusive performance from DJ Soda, one of Korea’s superstar DJs. All these exceptional elements coupled with the magical atmosphere of Bar Menaka made it a night of exceptional experiences.
ABC Reserve will be exclusively available in premium restaurants, premium bars and clubs in key city centers around Cambodia, including Phnom Penh, Siem Riep, Sihanoukville, Kampong Cham and Battambong.
